You play as a night shift technician (Mike) hired to perform routine maintenance on the animated robots and prepare them for the next day. Guided by a voice named "HandUnit," your job sounds fairly simple. However, you'll quickly realize that these animated robots—designed by William Afton, a brilliant but somewhat eccentric individual—are highly intelligent, deeply resentful of their underground prison, and are seeking to escape.

Core Gameplay: Mission-Based Horror

Sister Location abandons the classic survival formula. Instead of sitting in a room for self-defense, each night you need to move between different rooms to complete specific, terrifying missions.

• No Time Limit: You don't need to wait until 6 AM. The night only ends when you successfully complete your assigned objectives.
• Movement Capabilities: You'll have to crawl through ventilation shafts to reach various control rooms and maintenance rooms (such as the Switch Room or the Scoop Room).
• Listening is key: You'll receive guidance from two main sources: the HandUnit robot (often offering terrible, deadly advice) and Circus Baby herself (who whispers instructions that could save your life... or lead you into a trap).
• Unique challenges each night: introduce entirely new mechanics. One night you might have to hide under a table and hold onto a metal door; the next, you'll have to stealthily navigate a pitch-black room with only a flashlight or manually restart the system while a psychotic robot bear approaches you.

New Animatronic Funtime

The machines in Sister Location look sleek and modern and are equipped with face shields that open to reveal terrifying skeletons inside.

• Circus Baby: The star of the show. Oddly, she doesn't directly attack you during the main gameplay. Instead, she talks to you, offers help, and reveals dark stories about the facility.
• Baldora is an animatronic blind ballet dancer. Because she cannot see, she relies entirely on sound. When stealthily making your way through her gallery, you must listen to the music and stop immediately if the sound becomes too loud.
• Funtime Freddy & Bon-Bon: A hysterical bear with the hand puppet Bonnie. You must play Bon-Bon's voice signals to calm Freddy while you try your best to restart the facility's power.
• Funtime Foxy resides in a pitch-black auditorium and is activated by movement. You must use beacons sparingly to check their location as you slowly make your way across the room.
• Ennard: A combination of all the parts of animatronics. Facing Ennard is the ultimate test of your FNAF survival skills.
